Technology

All students are required to use a school issued device.  The device is the property of Monroe-Gregg School District.  The device supports learning platforms used by teachers to facilitate a blended learning environment for all students.  The technology department monitors the use of the devices and utilizes safety measures to insure our students are using the device appropriately and safely.  Each student will also receive a protective case and shoulder strap for the device.  

The Acceptable Use Policy outlines the guidelines and behaviors that users are expected to follow when using school technologies or when using personally owned devices on the school campus.

Acceptable Use Policy

Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to complete a One2One Risk Solutions Damage Waiver for each of their students' devices.  The waiver will significantly reduce the costs if the Chromebook is damaged, lost, or stolen.  If your student qualifies for free/reduced book rental, please contact your Building Office to apply for waiver assistance.

When completing the online waiver, the student ID is your student's lunch number.  Your student's lunch number can be found on Skyward on the Food Services Tab. The lunch number is the key pad number located next to your child's name.

Enrolling a Device in One2One Damage Waiver

Should your student's Chromebook become damaged, lost, or stolen, please contact your child's teacher or building office to notify them of the damage. Our staff will notify the Technology Department to start a claim for repairs. Once the claim is initiated, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete payment for the claim. If you purchased the damage waiver, the cost will be significantly less to repair the device.  Payments must be received for Chromebooks to be returned to students.
