Multilingual Program
Monroe-Gregg Schools District's Multilingual Program supports a growing population of multilingual learners and their families within the district.
The mission of Monroe-Gregg's Multilingual Department is to welcome students of all cultures and promote a supportive family/school relationship. The Multilingual Department strives to foster growth in English language development, sets high expectations for English proficiency, and ensures multilingual students meet academic achievement standards available to all students.
- Nearly 60 students have a home language other than English.
- 9 different languages are spoken in M-GSD homes to include Wolof, Arabic, Swahili, French, Haitian Creole, Yoruba, Filipino, Spanish, & Navajo.
- Haitian Creole is the primary home language for our multilingual community.
