Join us at Touchstone Energy Camp

This year's Touchstone Energy Camp, for 6th graders (currently enrolled in 6th grade), will be held June 6-9 at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana. Hendricks Power will select two area students to attend the camp at no cost! 

This camp experience is designed to help 6th grade students learn about electrification, electrical safety and the cooperative business principle. Additionally, they get to meet and interact with many other students from across the state while participating in camp activities such as horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming, etc.

If you have a student that would enjoy this experience, please encourage him/her to apply. Contact us at (317) 745-5473 ext. 642 or hthompson@hendrickspower.com to receive an application and more information.

Applications must be completed and returned to Hendricks Power no later than 4:30 p.m. on  Friday,  February 24.

Scrip Order thru Bulldogs Brigade:

The Monrovia Band will take scrip orders (gift cards for different vendors) that can be purchased and the band will receive a percentage of total gift card.  You can go to http://www.monroviabands.com/ to download a form or pick one up at the MMS office.  Orders will be collected on Monday(s) and gift cards will be returned to the student you ordered off of on Wednesday(s).

Student Insurance

The school district does not provide any type of health or accident insurance for injuries incurred by your child at school. If you are in need of additional coverage or if you do not have insurance, we have an option for you. Please check out the link below for more information.

It is available in several cover/paper options. The least expensive soft cover Yearbook is $17.99 (plus shipping). The least expensive hard cover Yearbook is $30.59 (plus shipping). You can save money by combining your order with some friends to get a discount on both the price of each Yearbook and the total shipping.

Reminder about Dress Code

No slippers can be worn
No Pajama/Flannel pants can be worn

  • Pants can have no holes above the knee

Shorts/Shirts – must be longer than mid-thigh in length

No low cut tops/blouses will be permitted

Duct tape will not be available in the MMS Office for holes in clothing.  Students will be asked to contact parent for appropriate clothing or go  to ISD.

Immunization Requirements

If your child will be entering preschool, kindergarten or Grades 6-12, there are new immunization requirements for the 2010-2011 school year. They are:

Preschool or kindergarten (preschool students include those attending a special education program, childcare, or preschool program with the school):

  • Two varicella (chickenpox) vaccinations (not needed if child has documentation of having had chicken pox)

Entering Grades 6-12:

  • Tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis vaccine. (Also called Tdap.)
  • Menigococcal conjugate vaccine. (Also called MCV4-Menactra.)
  • Two varicella (chickenpox) vaccinations (not needed if child has documentation of having had chicken pox)

These shots are in addition to those previously required.
