About Our Coaches
Head coach Todd Fakes has 29 years of coaching experience at Monrovia, all as head coach. His records
include University of Indianapolis Coach of the Year (1991), seven Conference Champions, three
Undefeated Seasons, 21 of 22 winning seasons, two State Champions, and numerous State Qualifiers
and Conference Champions. The University of Indianapolis graduate was a three-year letter winner
in football and a four-year letter winner in wrestling for the Greyhounds. In addition, he was on the
Academic Honor Roll for four semesters. Previous coaching experience includes work at North White
High School, Cascade High School, and Plainfield Middle School. Fakes teaches high school physical
education and is married to Rosie Fakes, a teacher at Cascade High School. He is the father of Tyran,
22; and Zane, 19. Tyran is following in dad’s footsteps, playing for the Greyhounds.
