Monrovia Junior-Senior High School is located in Monrovia, Indiana near the intersections of State Road 39 and 42, fifteen miles southwest of Indianapolis. Monrovia is located in a quiet rural community within the Monroe and Gregg townships having a combined population of 7500. Map

High School Facts

Monrovia High School holds a First-Class Commission from the State of Indiana and is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Monrovia is a four-year comprehensive public high school with an enrollment of 456 students. The school year consists of two 18-week semesters. The school day consists of seven periods and students are required to take seven courses. The ethnic diversity is less than one (1) percent.

Accreditation

Monrovia High School is accredited by the Indiana State Department of Public Instruction and holds a First-Class Commission in the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

Guidance

A comprehensive guidance program is provided by two fully-certified counselors who are involved in educational, personal and vocational counseling both in groups and on an individual basis.

Curriculum

The curriculum includes over 200 different course offerings and allows students to design academic programs to meet their individual needs.

Extracurricular Program

Monrovia has an excellent extracurricular program that allows participation in 12 interschool sports plus envirothon, band, choir, newspaper and academic competition events.
