Bulldog Power Club

The goal of the Bulldog Power Club is for students to read over the summer break.  Children who do not read over the summer are more likely to lose two months of reading skills.  If everyone entering grades first through fifth will read at least 5 books that will be well over 2000 books!

Check your child's classroom newsletter for specific scheduling information.

Following are guidelines for student use of MES LMC materials.

At Home:

• Read to your family
  • While supper is being prepared
• While dishes are being done
• To your younger brothers and sisters at bedtime
• Read instead of watching one show each evening
• Return your book to your backpack to keep it safe, clean, and available for free reading during the school day.

At School:

• Return your book on the designated day.
• If you wish to renew your book, bring it with you to library class to be rescanned.

Everywhere:

• Between readings, keep your book in your backpack in a large plastic bag to prevent spills, pencil marks, and other mishaps from ruining it as well as to have it available wherever you are!
• If there should be a problem with the book, please return it to the media center as soon as possible. (Note: Payment notices will be sent home for items determined to be beyond repair for use in our media center.)
