Mrs. Syd Schafer - Music

Circle the State

Mrs. Schafer sponsored Monrovia's participation in the annual Circle the State Choir program. Students in grades 4-6 gathered with other students from the area to perform under the direction of Dr. Don Ester of Ball State University. The students practiced the songs with Mrs. Schafer the past few months and then joined students from other schools on Saturday for a day long rehearsal. The whole group then performed for the public in the afternoon. The program was held at Brownsburg Middle School. Congratulations to our students and Mrs. Schafer for their hard work and wonderful performance. Monrovia students who participated were Jennifer Arnold, Abigail Barnes, Shelby Carter, Sydney Coffman, Chyanne Funnell, Rachael Green, Spencer Hlcomb, Lauryn Herr, Karyn Hobson, Alisa Kenworthy, Dakota Lanham, Madelyn Miller, Brianna Miller, Abigail Mongan, Lauren Poston, Taylor Price, Alex Realey, Baylee Russell, Laura Jane Skillern, Cheyenne Speck, Haley Tinsley, Shawn Verhey, and Abigail Willis.
