MES PTO Meeting Minutes for 1/9/12
Those in attendance: Bethany Brown, Marty Vaughn, Celina Clements, Brenda Kennedy, Denise Ash, Denise Kriech, Melissa Phillips, Tammy Everett and Tisha Kivett
Review of events/business since last meeting:
Bingo Night: 11/11/11. Great success, large turnout. Great silent auction.
Santa Shop: 11/29/11-12/2/11. Successful event. Next year order more lower priced items to have in stock.
Popcorn Friday: 12/2/11
Shopping for indoor recess items: 12/8/11. Went to Plainfield Walmart and purchased 5 requested items per class. Plainfield Walmart donated a $100 gift card towards our purchases.
Delivery of indoor recess items: 12/16/11. Santa and his elves delivered recess items to each class during school hours.
Received check from Box Tops in the amount of $1503.32 to be given to Media Center to purchase books.
Upcoming Events for January and February
Box Tops Contest begins 1/17/12.
Rock N Rollers Skating Party: 1/21/12 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Cost is $5.00. This price includes admission and skate rental.

Different options were presented:

Vote was taken by those in attendance. Unanimous vote for purchase of charging cart, WiFi hot spot and 30 Netbooks
