MES PTO Meeting for April 4, 2011

6:30 pm

Those in attendance:  Tanessa Barber, Marty Vaughn, Michelle Lacher, Melissa York, Bethany Brown, Annette Kluemper and Tisha Kivett

Melissa York won the teacher appreciation gift card. 

Informational Session:

     Teachers turned in their list of volunteers to Linda Hampton in preparation of the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast   on Thursday, April 21st 8:30 am.

     Volunteer of the Year to be awarded at the Appreciation Breakfast.

     Walk a Thon was great! Students and teachers participated the entire allotted time. 

Financial Report:

     Walk A Thon expense:  $151.00

     Monrovia Rocks expense including petty cash:  $590.18

     Monrovia Rocks Revenue:  $1027.05

     Monrovia Rocks Profit:  $436.87

     3rd Grade Literacy Books:  $146.25

     Checking Account Balance:  $6088.23

Upcoming Events/Info:

      Grandparent Night is Thursday, April 14th 4:00 - 7:00 pm.  Free desserts and beverages provided.  We need volunteers to bring desserts.

     Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast is Thursday, April 21st 8:30 am

     Teacher Appreciation Luncheon is Friday,  May 6th 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

     Arts and Education Festival is Friday, May 13th 3:00-8:00 pm.  Brenda Kennedy is PTO chairperson for this event.

The next MES PTO Meeting is Monday, May 2nd @ 6:30 pm in the cafeteria.  Elections will be held on this date.  Anyone interested in running for a Board (President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer) Position for the 2011-2012 school year needs to submit their information to the Board to be put on the ballot prior to May 2nd.
